VIKARA SAUNAS WARRANTY TERMS
What’s Not Covered by This Warranty
Our warranty does not extend to the following:
1. Damage or defects resulting from standard wear and tear over time.
2. Any damage sustained during relocation or delivery not conducted by Vikara or an authorised partner.
3. Imperfections in the timber elements and cabinetry, including but not limited to:
• Fading
• Peeling or cracking
• Wrinkling, blistering or delamination
• Stains or weathering typical of natural timber products
4. Damage caused by relocation performed by anyone other than a Vikara-approved technician.
5. Glass components or glass doors, unless damage is reported immediately upon delivery.
Circumstances That Void Your Warranty
Vikara Saunas are designed to last. To protect your warranty, please avoid the following:
Misuse or Negligent Use
This includes, but is not limited to:
• Placing towels or other items directly in front of heating elements
• Operating the sauna with broken components (e.g. heater slats)
• Exposing indoor models to outdoor weather (they must be sheltered if placed outside)
• Allowing water to accumulate inside the sauna (e.g. not drying off before entry)
• Failing to use towels on seats or floors
• Using electrical appliances inside the sauna
• Blocking roof ventilation or placing items on top of the sauna
• Poor timber maintenance, including neglecting routine cleaning or sealing
• Using the sauna with non-functioning heaters
• Connecting the unit via extension cords or power boards
• Using the sauna in any way other than intended
Installation or Maintenance Issues
• Improper installation or assembly that does not follow Vikara’s official guidelines
• Unauthorised modification of the product
• Use of unapproved replacement parts
• Relocation performed without written approval from Vikara or by unauthorised personnel
• Repairs or servicing carried out by unqualified technicians
• Failure to conduct basic maintenance (e.g. regular timber treatment)
• Damage caused by pests, rodents, or natural events (e.g. storms, flooding)
Commercial Use Exclusions
For units installed in commercial environments, warranty coverage is subject to proper maintenance and responsible use. Exclusions include:
• Failure to oil or seal timber regularly
• Allowing wet users to enter without drying off
• Not using towels on seating or flooring surfaces
• Continuing operation despite component failure
Vikara Cold Plunge Warranty Coverage
Residential Use
• Stainless Tub – 5 Years
• Chiller Unit – 2 Years
• All Other Parts – 1 Year
• Labour – 1 Year
Commercial Use
• Stainless Tub – 3 Years
• Chiller Unit – 1 Year
• All Other Parts – 1 Year
• Labour – 1 Year
Cold Plunge Exclusions
• Service requests due to misuse
• Damage from frozen water in the chiller (unit must be drained before freezing conditions)
• Issues caused by excessive humidity or condensation
• Filter wear or deterioration due to usage
• Running the unit with low water flow or insufficient ventilation
• Modifying the chiller or using unapproved parts
Making a Warranty Claim
To submit a warranty claim, please contact us.
We aim to respond within 10 business days. Vikara may inspect the product and, where possible, perform repairs on-site.
General Terms
• This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
• Warranty coverage ends upon resale or unauthorised relocation.
• In the event of a valid warranty claim, Vikara may repair or replace the component with a new or refurbished part of equal value.
• Replacement components become the property of Vikara once exchanged.
Your Rights Under Consumer Law
Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. You may be entitled to a replacement or refund for major failures and compensation for other foreseeable loss or damage. This warranty operates alongside your statutory rights.
