VIKARA SAUNAS WARRANTY TERMS

1. INTERPRETATION

In this Warranty Guide:
"Buyer", "You", or "Your" means the purchaser of the Product.
"Product" means a Vikara infrared sauna, traditional sauna, or cold plunge.
"Components" means any part or system of the Product, as listed in the applicable section below.
"Seller" means Vikara Saunas or its authorised distributor.
"Warranty" means the warranty outlined in this guide.
"Excluded Items" are items not covered, outlined in the "What's Not Included" section.

2. WARRANTY TERMS

Unless otherwise specified or required by applicable laws, Vikara Saunas warrants that the Product is free from defects in material and workmanship. All materials meet Vikara Saunas' published specifications. Defective Components will be repaired or replaced free of charge during the applicable warranty period.

3. WARRANTY PERIODS

TRADITIONAL SAUNA – RESIDENTIAL USE
Heater & Components – 2 years (Harvia)
Cabinet (including bench, floor & hardware, excluding glass) – 5 years
Cabling, connectors, speakers, lighting – 5 years
Control System – 2 years (Harvia)
Screen – 2 years (Harvia)
Labour – 1 year

TRADITIONAL SAUNA – COMMERCIAL USE
Heater & Components – 2 years (Harvia)
Cabinet (including bench, floor & hardware, excluding glass) – 3 years
Cabling, connectors, speakers, lighting – 2 years
Control System – 2 years (Harvia)
Screen – 2 years (Harvia)
Labour – 1 year

INFRARED SAUNA – RESIDENTIAL USE
Full Spectrum Heaters – 2 years
Carbon Heaters – 2 years
Cabinet (including bench, floor & hardware, excluding glass) – 5 years
Cabling, connectors, speakers, lighting – 5 years
Control System – 3 years
Screen – 3 years
Labour – 1 year

INFRARED SAUNA – COMMERCIAL USE
Full Spectrum Heaters – 2 years
Carbon Heaters – 2 years
Cabinet (including hardware, excluding bench, floor & glass) – 3 years
Cabling, connectors, speakers, lighting – 2 years
Control System – 2 years
Screen – 2 years
Labour – 1 year

ICEBATHS – RESIDENTIAL USE
Stainless Steel Tub – 5 years
Cooling Engine – 2 years
Other parts (cover, hoses, connectors, plumbing fittings) – 1 year
Labour – 1 year

ICEBATHS – COMMERCIAL USE
Stainless Steel Tub – 3 years
Cooling Engine – 1 year
Other parts (cover, hoses, connectors, plumbing fittings) – 1 year

PRODUCTS SOLD BEFORE 6/1/25 – LEGACY WARRANTY POLICY
For all Vikara products sold before 6/1/25, the following warranty terms apply, regardless of product category or use case:
Heaters & Electrical Components – 2 years
Cabinet (including bench, floor & hardware, excluding glass) – 2 years
Cabling, connectors, speakers, lighting – 2 years
Control System – 2 years
Screen – 2 years
Labour – 1 year

4. EXCLUSIONS – WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED

Warranty does not cover:
Normal wear and tear.
Damage or defects caused during relocation by unauthorised persons.
Damage to timber (fading, cracking, staining, weathering, etc.).
Glass or doors (unless broken upon delivery).
Damage from misuse or unauthorised modifications.
Damage caused by rodents, pests, natural disasters.
Service calls due to user error or misuse.

5. WHAT VOIDS THE WARRANTY

Warranty will be voided if:
The sauna is misused (e.g., placing towels on heaters, operating with broken parts).
Indoor models are exposed to outdoor weather without protection.
Water is allowed to accumulate excessively inside.
Towels are not used on benches and floors.
Unauthorised modifications or parts are used.
The sauna is not cleaned or maintained (e.g., timber not re-oiled every 6–12 months).
Power is supplied via extension cords or power boards.
The Product is not installed according to provided instructions.
Repairs are carried out by unauthorised persons.
For cold plunges: water is not changed, filters not cleaned, or airflow restricted around the chiller.

6. MAKING A WARRANTY CLAIM

We will respond within 10 business days and arrange an inspection or repair if required.

7. COSTS

Vikara will cover transport and repair costs for warranty issues within the first 12 months.
After 12 months, a standard $300 AUD service call-out fee applies.

8. FORCE MAJEURE

We are not liable for damage due to events beyond our control, such as floods, fires, earthquakes, war, or strikes.

9. LEGAL RIGHTS

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to have the product repaired or replaced if it fails to be of acceptable quality. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable.

10. DISCLAIMER

Vikara Saunas is not responsible for:
Injury or health impacts related to misuse.
Failures due to non-compliance with care instructions.
Product suitability for medical conditions. Please consult a medical professional before use.
