365-Day Satisfaction Guarantee
We stand behind every product we make. If you don’t love your Vikara experience within 365 days, we’ll take it back—no questions asked. Your satisfaction is our commitment.
All of our outdoor saunas are built to last up to 20 years—with just a little care along the way to protect your investment and keep everything looking and feeling its best.
External Care
The outside of your sauna is exposed to the elements, so regular maintenance helps keep it protected and looking great.
• Oil the exterior timber every 6–12 months, depending on how much direct sunlight it gets.
• Light sanding may be needed over time to smooth out natural imperfections—this is completely normal.
Internal Care
Keeping the inside clean ensures a fresh and hygienic sauna experience.
• Wipe down benches and floors regularly using a mild, non-toxic soap and warm water.
• If any marks or wear appear, a quick light sand will restore the timber’s natural finish.
With a little upkeep, your sauna will continue to perform and look great for years to come. Let us know if you’d like more detailed tips—we’re here to help!

The Vikara Difference
At Vikara, we don’t just build saunas—we honour a tradition.
Your Path to Better Health

Detoxify
Modern life exposes us to toxins daily. Traditional saunas help flush them out through deep, purifying sweat. In today’s world, sweating is essential.

Heart Health
Traditional saunas boost circulation, increase heart rate, and mimic the effects of moderate exercise—supporting cardiovascular health and reducing the risk of heart disease.

Sleep Quality
Saunas help calm the nervous system, lower cortisol, and trigger melatonin production—promoting deeper, more restful sleep.

Stress Relief
The heat from traditional saunas relaxes muscles, lowers cortisol, and releases endorphins—melting away stress and tension.

Immunity Boosting
Sauna heat stimulates white blood cell production and mimics a mild fever—boosting your immune system’s ability to fight off illness.

Recovery & Pain Relief
Traditional saunas increase blood flow, relax muscles, and reduce inflammation—easing soreness, stiffness, and joint pain naturally.

Anti-Aging
Regular sauna use activates heat shock proteins, reduces inflammation, and supports cellular repair—promoting longevity and healthy aging.

Respiratory Health
Sauna heat opens airways, loosens mucus, and reduces inflammation—helping you breathe easier and support overall lung function.
Red Western Cedar Or Nordic Spruce
What Is The Right Choice For You?

Red Cedar
Our saunas are built with Western Red Cedar—known for its beautiful blonde finish, rich aromatic scent, and natural healing properties. It’s pest-resistant, rot-resistant, and requires minimal upkeep—just a light varnish every 12–24 months. With its timeless look and low-maintenance durability, cedar is the premium choice for a long-lasting, therapeutic sauna experience.

Nordic Spruce
Our Nordic Spruce offers a beautifully rustic, rugged finish that only gets better with age. Heat-treated to remove moisture, it gains the same pest and rot-resistant qualities as cedar—without the premium price tag. If you’re after a cost-effective option or love the charm of natural, weathered timber, Nordic Spruce is the perfect fit.
Traditional Or Infrared?
Understanding The Differences.

The Authentic, Time-Tested Experience
Traditional
Rooted in centuries of Finnish tradition, traditional saunas are what most people envision when they hear Sauna—heated stones, natural timber, and the satisfying burst of steam known as löyly. By heating the air first, they create a dry, immersive heat that warms the entire body, typically reaching 80–110°C for a deep, detoxifying sweat.
Ideal for those seeking an authentic, time-tested sauna experience, with powerful heat, meaningful tradition, and the full sensory depth of classic sauna bathing.

Modern Technology. Targeted Heat. Gentle Therapy.
Infrared
Infrared saunas represent a more recent evolution in sauna technology, using infrared light waves to heat the body directly, rather than warming the surrounding air. Operating at lower temperatures—typically between 45–65°C—they offer a gentler, more accessible heat that’s ideal for frequent use and those sensitive to intense heat.
Instead of steam and ambient heat, infrared saunas deliver deep tissue warmth, often used to support recovery, pain relief, and relaxation. Their sleek design, quicker heat-up time, and lower energy use make them especially suited for modern lifestyles and indoor spaces.
Ideal for those seeking a low-heat, therapeutic sauna experience focused on targeted benefits, physical recovery, and everyday wellbeing—without the intensity of traditional dry heat.
